Background
27 years combined in real estate, business operations and software development.
Ray Arceneaux, MBA has worked inside the systems that run businesses: banking at Wells Fargo and UBS, government real estate for the State of Tennessee, corporate real estate at Amazon, and software development. He has seen how businesses at every level operate, where they break, and where they leave money on the table.
He holds an MBA and a BBA in Finance from Middle Tennessee State University and completed full-stack web development at Nashville Software School, where he enrolled in 2019 and graduated in 2020.
Search to System is for every small business owner, community leader, entrepreneur and professional who has opened ChatGPT or Claude, gotten an answer, and closed the tab without anything in their operation actually changing. If you are ready to stop asking AI questions and start running your business through it, this book was written for you.
The origin story
Two moments, eight years apart.
The Fourth Industrial Revolution, Robert F. Smith
Ray meets Robert F. Smith. September 30, 2025
The spark came in 2017. Ray was working in real estate when he came across the work of Robert F. Smith and saw what technology could make possible, and he decided to pivot. He enrolled at Nashville Software School in 2019 and graduated in 2020, in the middle of the pandemic.
He has worked in tech ever since, through several rounds of layoffs, and he kept building. In 2023 he started teaching in the community: coding workshops for kids in schools, and work alongside other nonprofits.
It came full circle on September 30, 2025, when Ray met Mr. Smith face to face and thanked him for introducing him to technology.
